Youve justs tarted an ebay business, or at least think you may be, and your at a garage sale wondering what will make money? I remember when I was in that spot. I made a gut call. I bought this random item, a golf trainer or something. I spent time developing a nice HTML listing, designing my own graphics, and pulling out all the stops. I payed $5, and made $23. I started buying up everything that looked intact, modern, and cheap.
There are garage sales of people looking to make some money, and some just getting rid of their stuff. You can tell by the prices on rather cheap or useless things. Most good sales have small things like baby clothes marked for less than a dollar but when you start seeing individual pricing on many items, its a good sign of a bad opportunity.
As i said before, I like to buy cheap, everything and anything. Sure, I miss a lot. Everyone will. However, the items that do sell further than cover the cost. Buying cheap smaller item also allows you to list more, which creates a larger feedback score. Having said that, ensure the item is significant. It needs to be intact, useful, and clean.
